Parent Seminars - The Parent
Seminars are specially designed programs that cover the most up
to date information that parents are dealing with in their families. These
seminars are lead by Pete Hinojosa the Community Network Coordinator
and reach out to parents with children in elementary to high school.
Topics cover everything from Self-esteem to personalities to goal-setting
and motivation. You can see Pete's schedule each
month on the Current Events link, under What's New. What's

The Parents’ Forum -
Parents’ Forum meetings provide a unique opportunity for
parents to discuss issues having to do with raising students from
the parent’s perspective. The purpose of the group meetings
is to facilitate the exchange of experiences and information that
can be beneficial to each of us in dealing with our responsibilities
as parents. Topics of special interest and discussion during the
freshman and sophomore years include issues confronting new (and
soon-to-be) drivers and their parents: the new Graduated Driver
License Program in Texas and how it affects teen drivers; drinking,
driving and applicable Texas laws; the merits and demerits of "driver’s
ed" training; and how other parents have dealt with driving issues
affecting our children.
The Father's
Forum - The
Father's Forum is designed so that at least once or twice a year
that father's can get together and meet and hear encouraging information
about the role of being a father.
