We Need Help From People Like
You!
Among the many and varied activities at AYAM, we have
ongoing educational programs throughout the year. Every
second grader in SBISD (over 2500 children) comes to
the museum for a cultural arts trip. While for some
it is merely a fun experience, for others it is their
only chance to visit a museum – and a unique opportunity
to introduce them to the welcoming learning environment
of a museum.
In addition, every first grader in SBISD (over 2500
children) is invited to take part in the Altharetta
Yeargin Art Museum’s Road Show, which visits schools
in the area and presents a fun and informative cultural
arts program.
As all of our events are funded by grants, we depend
on people like you to volunteer at the museum. The First
Junior Women’s Club of Houston provides many of our
wonderful docents. Docents lead tours of the museum,
show films, assist students with art projects and be
on our Road Show team. But we need more volunteers to
help with all of our tours and special programs!
Please consider being a part of our museum by volunteering.

suit you!
