Her nomination read, in part:
“Liz is like a gem with many lovely facets. She is an organizer, teacher, mentor, administrator, librarian, facilitator and friend. While seeking my degree in library science, Liz graciously agreed to be my mentor and guided me through the process with infinite patience, skill and caring.
Liz has a terrific sense of humor and lightens the mood of any situation. She is highly respected by her SBISD peers and beyond. Her knowledge and experience are tremendous and she is a leader across the state in the field of information technology. There is no school in the district that has not benefited from Liz’s expertise and leadership.
She is one of those rare employees who puts the people she is serving before herself. Even though she has countless duties and responsibilities, Liz is always ready and willing to take all the time necessary to resolve other people’s issues. We appreciate her thoughtfulness and kindness in providing assistance and support in a friendly, congenial manner.
She is truly a joy to work with.”
