SBISD October 2007 Employee of the Month Gloria Tennon Substitute Office Specialist Human Resources Department

Her nomination read, in part:

“Gloria has been a dedicated employee of the district for more than 25 years. For nearly 20 years, she has been the voice of the substitute office. She coordinates the hiring, training and placement of more than 800 substitutes in Spring Branch. Her top priority is customer service.

We depend on Gloria’s efforts to keep schools and district offices running when staff are ill or in training and away from their jobs. Through her friendliness, dependability and sense of customer service, she has built strong relationships with our campuses and substitute corps. She is helpful and patient with numerous questions and calls for assistance. Her main objective is to make sure our students have a qualified and caring substitute in every classroom when needed.

Gloria works cheerfully, efficiently and tirelessly for campuse and departments alike. Her consistently high performance, good humor and patience make her an outstanding candidate for Employee of the Month.”
