As Executive Administrator for Communications,
Bob coordinates news media relations, internal and external
advisory committees, publications, employee recognition programs,
marketing, public relations and special projects for the school
district.
Bob has worked in the communications field for more than 20 years,
beginning as a television reporter and photographer for the CBS affiliate
in Toledo, Ohio in 1975. He was Director of Information Services for
the Toledo Public Schools from 1979-1982. After that he was named Coordinator
of Communications for the Galveston Independent School District.
In 1988, Bob became Director of Information Services in Spring Branch
ISD and was subsequently promoted to Executive Director of Communications.
Bob recently completed a three-year term on the Executive Committee
of the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA), representing
the South Central Region of the United States. He is a former Vice President
of the Texas School Public Relations Association (TSPRA) and has served
on numerous committees for both state and national organizations.
He has presented and co-presented media training, marketing and communications
workshops at many state and national conferences and in numerous school
districts. He has won more than 30 national and state awards for his
work.
Bob earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Bowling
Green State University in Ohio and is one of approximately 100 school
public relations practitioners Accredited in School Public Relations
(ASPR) from the National School Public Relations Association. --
