Susanna Calvo Jeu
Memorial Drive Elementary

Susanna is a parent of a fifth grader at Memorial Dive Elementary, and has been an active, energetic volunteer for the past six years. She has served as the PTA Science Enrichment Coordinator for 3 rd , 4 th , and 5 th grade levels the past three years. Students want to be in her daughter's class because they have seen the fun and interesting demonstrations that Mrs. Jeu brings to the classroom with her scientific knowledge.

Susanna has served as the yearbook Editor, and Assistant Editor proposing Memorial Drive Elementary's first ever color yearbook. In addition to her yearbook efforts Susanna is a huge help to the music department. She provides technical assistance and the use of her own equipment during the many musicals, rehearsals, student talent shows, and choir concerts.

She has been involved in every aspect of Memorial Drive Elementary School .

The list of activities is almost too numerous to mention. They include but are not limited to:

• Making passports for the students for the Cultural Arts Program
• Junior Achievement Exchange City volunteer
• Computer Lab volunteer
• Room Parent
• Student Directory proof-reader
• Fall Festival booth volunteer
• Girl Scout Troop leader at MDE

Susanna Calvo Jeu has been an outstanding volunteer at Memorial Drive Elementary, and we are pleased to announce her as SBISD's May 2005 Volunteer of the Month!
