April 2006 Volunteer of the Month

Angelica Lopez

Maria Angelica Lopez
Buffalo Creek Elementary

For three years Maria Angelica Lopez had been volunteering at Buffalo Creek Elementary where her children attended.  Then the family moved to Katy, Texas.  She went to the Katy schools to volunteer but there was not much to do, so she came back to Buffalo Creek to see if they needed any help.  They gladly welcomed her back.

She makes the drive daily from Katy, Texas to SBISD to volunteer at Buffalo Creek Elementary. Her volunteer duties include helping out in the Parent Center and assisting with projects for teachers.

Amgelica’s positive attitude, dependability, and dedication are part of the outstanding characteristics that she displays on a daily basis.

Buffalo Creek is fortunate to have such a reliable and dedicated volunteer in Maria Angelica Lopez.
