May 2006 Volunteer of the Month

Rebecca Rodriguez

Rebecca Rodriguez
Buffalo Creek Elementary

Shadow Oaks is lucky to have Rebecca Rodriguez as a daily part of campus life. As a volunteer, she has been a great support in providing tutoring for students experiencing difficulties in the area of literacy development. She has kindly and patiently served as an additional resource for practice and as an extension for guided reading groups.

In addition, Rebecca extends her support in helping students one-on-one in kindergarten through second grade. She has been a great volunteer on field trips and has helped organize other volunteer parents. She has taken her role so seriously that she has even made home visits to the families of students who may be in need for a variety of reasons.

Rebecca has been actively involved in assisting with parenting classes as well as many other activities like “Doughnuts for Dad” or “Muffins for Mom”.  We are so proud to recognize Rebecca Rodriguez as our May Volunteer of the Month.
