Camille Bryan
The School of
Choice
Camille is a founding member of the School of Choice’s
SpringBoard mentoring program. She has not only
mentored two school age parenting students herself,
but she has recruited several others to mentor, too.
She started a “cradle rocking” group as
well as a community Palm Sunday baby shower which takes
place once a year to help out the teens in need of support.
She has helped to fund scholarships for teens in the
School Age Parent Program. Camille is such an inspiration
to work with as she sees any obstacle as a stepping
stone to building a better opportunity.
We can share a number of Camille’s contributions
as per our records:
- Camille has been a School Age Parent Program volunteer
since 1991 and School of Choice for one and a half
years.
- Camille has countless volunteer hours as a matter
of promoting School Age Parent Program activities
at Chapelwood United Methodist Church as well as the
School of Choice campus.
- The School Age Parent program has received over
$40,000 through Camille’s leadership.
- Camille has recruited over 30 volunteers for the
School Age Parenting Program’s SBEC Childcare.
- Camille served as chairman of the Advisory Committee
for four years.
- Camille has served on the School Age Parenting
Program’s
scholarship selection committee.
She is a very busy and successful business owner as
well as a parent and a wife. Camille grew up
in a home with an expectation that one would never be
too busy to make personal contributions for the good
of others, where volunteerism and community improvement
were encouraged. What an inspiration
she is to those of us who are privileged to know her
and work with her!
Camille has had an incredible impact on the School of
Choice teen programs and we are proud to have her as
our May 2006 Volunteer of the Month
