Aileen Reilly - Stratford High School
Aileen Reilly has been giving of her time since the mid 1990’s when the first of her four children entered Stratford High School. She has supported various campus groups and organizations ranging from chairing the Playhouse Gala and making costumes, to driving to swim team.
For the past ten years, Aileen has been a valued facilitator for the Student Assistants Program at Stratford High, providing weekly support in a group setting for students from all grade levels. Her commitment as a SAP facilitator is truly amazing. She often goes to the counselor’s office with a referral for a student she is concerned about. She is persistent and makes sure the students receive the support and assistance they need. She is a true advocate for students.
Her smile and positive caring attitude are always evident, but never more so than when the Stratford community experienced the sudden and unexpected death of the nurse’s assistant. Aileen, also a registered nurse, volunteered in the clinic for the first six weeks of school without pay. She enrolled and screened new students, gave medications, maintained clinic logs, and counseled students. She was at the school so often that she was given her own parking space in the faculty parking lot.
Where there is a need, Aileen Reilly is there to fill it. She is truly deserving of being named Spring Branch ISD’s April Volunteer of the Month.
