Surplus
Maintenance department is responsible for picking
up, storing and disposing of all SBISD property. To
maintain the fixed assets and inventory control, certain
procedures must be followed. All FAS items must
be listed on an FAS Transfer/Disposition form and
submitted with the maintenance work order for these
items to be removed from the campus/department. If
submitting the maintenance work order electronically,
provide the name of the person who will have the FAS
form. When maintenance personnel arrive to pick
up the FAS items, they will secure the FAS form from
that person and verify quantity/numbers before forwarding
it to the FAS Office for final disposition. It
is imperative that the budget manager or his/her designee
signs the form in the appropriate place.
For more information about the FAS procedures, see
the FAS web site.
All surplus property is warehoused in the building
located on the northwest corner of the parking lot
behind Spring Branch Education Center. Employees are
welcome to view and determine if items can be used
prior to purchasing. This can be accomplished
by contacting Mark Tiedt via email to set up a day/time. Or
if you have a question regarding surplus items, contact
Mark Tiedt. However, the building principal’s
or department chairperson’s approval is required
for items to be returned to the campus. Contact
Mark Tiedt via email for procedures to return items
to a campus/department.
Upon reaching capacity, a public auction is scheduled.
