The Spring Branch ISD Board of Trustees will conduct regular, monthly public meetings during the 2008-2009 academic year. Board meetings and workshops are open to the public. Special meetings may be called when deemed necessary.

Regular meetings are normally held on the fourth Monday of the month at 7 p.m. in the Board Room of the SBISD Administration Building, 955 Campbell Road. Special called meetings usually begin at 6 p.m. on these days.

Pre-agenda Board workshop meetings are usually held one week before the regular monthly meeting, but dates may vary. Workshop meetings usually begin at 6 p.m. on these dates.

The Board’s regular meeting schedule for the 2008-2009 calendar year begins on Monday, July 28. Other regular monthly meeting dates are Aug. 18, Sept. 22, Oct. 27, and Nov. 24, 2008. For 2009, regular meetings are planned Jan. 26, Feb. 23, March 23, April 27, May 18 and June 22.

The Board’s scheduled 2008 workshop meetings are Aug. 18, Sept. 15, Oct. 20, and Nov. 17. For 2009, workship meetings are planned Jan. 20, Feb. 17, March 9, April 20, May 11 and June 15.

In addition, the Board may conduct a Fall Workshop on Sept. 12 at the SBISD Police Station Meeting Room. A Winter Workshop may be held on Dec. 14, also at the new district Police Station.

Board meeting agendas are posted at the SBISD Administration Building, 955 Campbell Road, at least 72 hours before a regular meeting and at least two hours before an emergency meeting. Meeting agendas and other information are also posted on SBISD’s Web site at www.sprinchbranchisd.com.

State law permits the Board to go into executive session only to discuss property acquisition, personnel issues, security matters or consultation with attorneys. No vote on any items may be taken during executive session.
