Four-year-olds served by Schools for Early Learning

More Back to School InformationSBISD was the first large public school district in Texas and one of the first in the nation to offer a districtwide full-day program for 4-year-olds led by certified teachers. This highly rated prekindergarten program operates from five specially designed Schools for Early Learning.

Student registration for SBISD's popular full-day prekindergarten for 4-year-olds will be held at the district's neighborhood Schools for Early Learning from 8 a.m. until noon and from 1-3 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, Aug. 14-15, and also Tuesday through Friday, Aug. 19-22.

A first-day Orientation Program for students and parents or guardians will be held at all neighborhood Schools of Early Learning from 9:30-11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 25. The session is designed for families to meet teachers, learn about the curriculum and visit classrooms. The first full day of classes for these students will be Tuesday, Aug. 26.

The five Schools for Early Learning are: The Lion Lane School, 2000 Ridgecrest; The Bear Blvd. School, 8860 Westview; The Tiger Trail School, 10404 Tiger Trail; The Wildcat Way School, 12754 Kimberley; and The Panda Path School, 8575 Pitner.

Students who meet certain eligibility guidelines may attend tuition free. Tuition will remain at $4,500 for the school year and is collected in nine monthly payments of $500, one of the true bargains in high quality early childcare.

To enroll, students must be 4 years old on or before Sept. 1 of the current school year and meet other criteria.
