State Accountability
The State Accountability System is used by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) to evaluate the performance of public school districts and campuses. This system integrates district accreditation status, campus ratings, district and campus recognition for high performance and performance improvement, and campus, district, and state-level reports. TEA issues district and campus accountability ratings on August 1.

The Academic Excellence Information System (AEIS) is an annual report describing district educational performance for the previous school year. It also presents student, staff, and financial information required by statute. TEA issues AEIS reports on October 15.

A third accountability report is the School Report Card for each campus, published on November 15 of each year. It includes information from AEIS as required by statute.

The accountability system is also a critical component of the evaluation plans for the Learning Organization Initiative (LOI). References to student success and quality in student learning are synonymous with (but not limited to) the continued improvement of campus and district TAKS scores.
