Student Leadership Class

SLC 11,12 Credit .5 unit
Prerequisite:  Student must be a junior or a senior at Memorial High School

Student Leadership Class is a one semester course for juniors or seniors with emphasis on personal growth.

Topics of discussion include:

bullet Who is in control of your choices?
bullet Building a foundation that you can stand on and for, regardless of the times.
bullet Explaining and exploring the four personalities in an interactive fun book, with a style analysis.
bullet Solving the inner workings of why you do the things you do.
bullet What is leadership?  What are the myths of Leadership? Who is a leader?  How does a leader develop influence? How to develop your leadership potential.
bullet Leaders have vision, are creative, defeat worry, and use time wisely.  (Leadership in Action) How can your attitude determine your success and potential?
bullet The anatomy of a failure or what prevents us from success before we ever start.
bullet How does your mind work (the conscious and subconscious- the human potential)? 
bullet Do you have a VISION for your life (Setting a mission and direction)?
bullet Looking at the causes of a negative self-image.
bullet Developing a DREAM for your life that you can believe in.
bullet How to recognize a positive self-image.  How to turn your negative self-image around.

bullet Exploring how our needs can cause changes in behavior.
bullet A look at how beliefs can cause us either to rationalize or justify our behavior and how that either propels us to or not to set GOALS.
