In November, sixty-six students from the Northbrook Gear-Up cohort attended a college tour of Baylor University. Students were given the tour by Baylor University students and then Baylor hosted the students for lunch.
Students were able to fill out information cards so that they could receive updates from Baylor about the admission process.
Only students with high academic performance and attendance were allowed to participate.
About one hundred Gear Up girls met on October 21st for the second annual Girls Conference. Site Coordinator Vanessa Croix opened the program and Patty Dominguez from the Latin Women's Initiative was the keynote speaker.

Cuff from the Clay Road YMCA
Everyone then assembled for lunch.
NHS soccer athletes travel to Texas A&M University, where they receive a tour of the facilities.
Students were then invited to attend the game.
