Grade Level Credit Requirements

GRADE LEVEL ASSIGNMENTS
Once a student enters ninth grade, earning credits is the only way to progress to the next grade. Each course typically counts for 0.5 credit per term. At the end of the year, including summer school, number of credits earned determines the next year’s grade placement.
To be in Grade Credit Requirements -Entered 9th grade by 2002 All credits are counted Credit Requirements Class of 2007, and later STATE credits only are counted
9
0.0 – 4.5
0.0 – 4.5 state credits
10
5.0 –9.5

5.0 -9.5 and must include: English I and a math credit
11
10.0 – 14.5
10.0 – 14.5 and must include: English II, IPC or Biology, Algebra I, and World History or World Geography
12
15.0 +
15.0 and must include:
English III, Geometry, U. S. History, 2.0 credits in science and enrolled in a 3rd credit, and enrolled in a 3rd math credit


GRADUATION CEREMONY

In order to participate in the graduation ceremony, each student must have met all graduation requirements, including passing all courses, and all sections of the appropriate exit level exam.
