Mid-Year Reports:
Colleges may now ask you to send them first
semester grades if an application and
six semester
transcript has already been submitted. Sometimes
this request is just written in the "application
procedures" section; Sometimes they
include a special form that needs to be
sent. In either case, we send an official
copy of your transcript which includes the
semester grades and your final class rank.
You need to bring your counselor any forms
provided by the college admission office
along with envelopes addressed to the office
of admissions and your name in the upper
left corner. You will also need to give
your counselor the applicable fee for each
official transcript. Check with your counselor
re: the mid-year process.
Scholarships:
• Please check for information in the Counselors’ Office
and listen for announcements. Also check out the web page for scholarship
information and financial aid information.
• Colleges require that you and your parents complete the FAFSA
if you are requesting financial aid. The FAFSA forms need to be
completed as soon as possible after January 1st. This form is also
online. (www.fafsa.ed.gov).
Begin the process early needed to secure a PIN number which will
allow you to submit the FAFSA on-line. PIN numbers for students
and parents help expedite the process.
