Texas
Governor's School - The Texas Governor's
School is a FREE (except
for transportation to and from, and personal
expenses) three week intensive summer
educational program, open to all qualified resident
Texas students who have completed 9th grade,
regardless of race, ethnicity, income or background,
from all across the state of Texas. Student
applicants will be drawn in the same proportion
as their regional ESC districts. This program
will focus on enriching and developing a student's
abilities in science and technology as well
as exploring the impacts of these fields on
past, present, and future societies including

Prairie View
A& M University provides
a summer program as an educational bridge
to college through ACCESS. ACCESS eligibility
requirements include:
- Texas resident
- Minimum of 2.0 GPA
- 2007 high school graduate
or GED recipient
- Pay fee of $300 which pays
for on-campus housing, meals, educational
materials and THEA fee for a 7 week program.
