Community Programs

Adult Natural History Travel Programs and Seminars are provided through the Science Center and the District's Continuing Education Department. These programs are designed for both the novice and experienced nature enthusiast. They are offered periodically throughout the year, and are funded through tuition fees.  For information on our upcoming tours, click here.

Examples of past seminars include spring and fall wildflowers, and bird watching classes. The travel program has included trips to the Galapagos Islands, Venezuela, Trinidad and Tobago, Hawaii and much more. To be placed on the special mailing list for these programs, contact the Science Center immediately.

Simply open Netscape or your browser and type in http://aws.com/wx.asp?ID=HUSTN to connect to Automated Weather Service's web page. Click on the icon for Real Time Weather from your Neighborhood and you will get a map of the United States showing weather station sites. You will be able to get weather data from across the U.S. (Atmosphere, Climate, Temperature, etc.)
