Community Programs
Adult Natural History Travel Programs and Seminars
are provided through the Science Center and the District's
Continuing Education Department. These programs are designed for
both the novice and experienced nature enthusiast. They are offered
periodically throughout the year, and are funded through tuition
fees. For

Examples
of
past
seminars
include
spring
and
fall
wildflowers,
and
bird
watching
classes.
The
travel
program
has
included
trips
to
the
Galapagos
Islands,
Venezuela,
Trinidad
and
Tobago,
Hawaii
and
much
more.

WEATHER DATA SERVICES
The Science Center is
now a part of KPRC-Channel 2 TV station's automated weather service
network. Also, you can now connect online to Automated Weather Source's
server. Simply open Netscape or your browser and type in http://aws.com/wx.asp?ID=HUSTN to
connect to Automated Weather Service's web page. Click on the icon
for Real Time Weather from your Neighborhood and you will get a map
of the United States showing weather station sites. You will be able
to get weather data from across the U.S. (Atmosphere, Climate, Temperature,
etc.)
