Historical preservation, “green” building issues and community needs were among questions related to the upcoming SBISD Bond Election asked by the Tiger TV student news team recently during studio interviews at Spring Woods High.

SBISD Board of Trustees President Mike Falick and Bond Advisory Committee Co-Chair David Slattery answered questions posed by Tiger TV anchorman Garrett Simmons.

Supporting Garrett, a senior, during the studio interviews were students Christian Arredondo, Jonathan Chung, Sean Curcio, Jacqueline Gardea, Steven Griffin and Jairo Razo. Patricia Kougar-Melton is Tiger TV’s instructor.

On Tuesday, Nov. 6, Spring Branch voters will consider a $597.1 million bond issue to rebuild many of the district’s elementary schools, build new classrooms and provide districtwide improvements to all campuses. Early voting continues through Friday, Nov. 2, at several Harris County locations.
