PTAPTA    The PTA and our PTA Council are great partners in education, providing parents with programming, resources, networking and ways to get involved at the campus level. Our PTA’s need YOU!

SpringBoard Mentor ProgramSpringBoard Mentor Program    SpringBoard is the umbrella for community supported, campus based mentoring in SBISD. Winner of the National Civic Star award, SpringBoard Mentor Programs support over 400 students across more than a dozen SBISD campuses. Hundreds of children are waiting for a mentor! Volunteer today!

SBISD Tutor ProgramsSBISD Tutor Programs     Tutors provide that extra academic support for students in need across SBISD. Our literacy tutors are supported by a nationally-recognized volunteer training and resource model. Tutors are needed at all levels and in all subjects. Whether you can tutor weekly all year or just for a few weeks, our students need what you know. Share your expertise today!

Junior AchievementJunior Achievement  Students in over 300 classes benefited in 2005-2006 from volunteers sharing their time as Junior Achievement classroom volunteers. With as little as 5 hours to give, you can bring to life the free-enterprise system as a JA volunteer. Training is provided. Encourage entrepreneurship. Spark a child’s imagination! Be a JA Volunteer!

Texas ScholarsTexas Scholars  It only takes an hour to show a child why investing in himself or herself to make the most of the high school years will reap benefits for a lifetime. Texas Scholars presenters give classroom presentations to 8th graders in May  about high school and beyond. Training is provided. Motivate students to be their best!

Campus/Classroom/Special ProgramsCampus/Classroom/Special Programs Have time or expertise to share? Campuses need volunteers to help in a variety of one-of-a-kind ways, from maintaining flower beds to career day speaking, to serving as an art museum docent to helping with registration on the first days of school. If you want to help, we want to help you match your time and talents with a school or department in need.
