How can you make a difference?
It only takes an hour to show a child why investing in himself or herself to make the most of the high school years will reap benefits for a lifetime. Texas Scholars presenters give classroom presentations to 8th graders in May about high school and beyond. Training is provided.
Texas Scholars training will take place at the Spring Branch ISD Administration Building (955 Campbell Road, Houston 77024).
You may attend any of the following trainings:
- Tuesday, April 24, 2012 – 3:00-4:30 PM – Room 275 SBISD Administration Building
- Wednesday, April 25, 2012 – 9-10:30 AM – Room 270 SBISD Administration Building
The presentations for the middle school campuses will take place May 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11. Please email Partner@springbranchisd.com and let us know which training you will be attending.

Who
are Texas Scholars?
Texas Scholars is an initiative of Texas Business
and Education Coalition (TBEC) in partnership
with local school districts and community volunteers.
The initiative motivates 8th graders to take a
more purposeful approach in high school, and to
plan for and work toward a career of their choosing
after high school. Since 1992, Texas Scholars
has a record of success in motivating students
and influencing policy toward the goal of completing
a full academic course of study in high school.
The following companies and organizations provided
volunteers who were trained as Texas Scholars
Presenters.
