How to Join PTA

1. Fill out a membership form
2. Pay membership dues in accordance with the local PTA’s bylaws:
   • Membership dues amount may vary at each local PTA unit, usually ranging from $5 - $12 per member
   • A portion of those dues goes to State and National PTA
   • Individuals who want to participate in more than one local PTA unit must join each one separately, paying full dues to each

Most PTAs mail or send home membership forms at the beginning of the school year. PTA membership information should also be available at each school campus.

Most individuals join the PTA(s) of the school(s) their child/children attend; however, an individual, i.e. relative, neighbor, businessperson, etc. who does not have a student, is welcome to join a PTA unit.

If you have forgotten to join or are new to the school, just ask your school for a PTA membership form.
