| Major Functions and Responsibilities: |
The person in this position is responsible for providing after school hours activities and/or supervision for children. |
| Examples of Key Duties: |
Adhere to the district's philosophy of
instruction.
Demonstrate knowledge of subject matter and classroom
management skills.
Impose limitations and restrictions to ensure students'
safety, well-being, and conformance to specified behavior
standards.
Utilize new materials, methodologies, philosophies and
innovations using those which suit the needs of the individual
students.
Incorporate the elements of effective instruction to achieve
maximum success in the classroom.
Assist in planning student activities, programs and field
trips.
Maintain clear, consistent and complete permanent records/reports
of student progress and attendance.
Create and maintain an environment conducive to learning
while supporting and complying with district/campus policies.
Relate to students, parents, staff, administration and
community professionally and perform other duties as assigned.

This person is directly responsible to the building principal and GEAR UP Project Director. |
| Qualifications: |
Bachelor's degree in related field.
Valid Texas Teacher Certificate or Teaching Certificate
from out of state appropriate for position.
