Professional Application Process

Spring Branch Independent School District accepts professional applications year round. We want to encourage all candidates which are interested in working in Spring Branch and want to check the status of their application to follow the instructions below.

Spring Branch Independent School District uses an online application system for the hiring process (Cover letters and résumés alone will not qualify applicants for employment).

Please use the following checklist to complete your Professional Application file with Spring Branch ISD.


Review Available Positions

  • All teacher applicants are encouraged to apply year round.

  • Please indicate position in the Employment Preference section of the application.

Complete Online Application

  • The Online Professional Application will take approximately 30 minutes. Please have your certifications, work experience and reference information on hand. https://winweb.springbranchisd.com/AppEntry.exe

  • Please make sure your application is up-to-date every 3 months (update certification/license, work experience, education, references, etc.). If there are no changes after 3 months, you will need to resubmit your application to make it current and up-to-date.

  • Please indicate position in the Employment Preference section of the application.

Submit Transcript(s)

Please send us a copy of your college transcript(s) or out-of-country transcript evaluation(s) by mail, fax, drop off at Human Resources or upload to online application.

Submit Teacher Credentials / License

  • A copy of your Texas teaching certificate or
  • Letter of recommendation for a teaching certificate from your university or
  • A copy of your out-of-state certificate or
  • Confirmation letter from an approved alternative certification program will be provided by the applicant or
  • License (Nurse, Licensed Specialist in School Psychology, etc.)

Copy of Certification(s) can be mailed, faxed, dropped off at Human Resources or uploaded to the online application. To obtain a copy of your certification, visit State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC).


Submit References

  • If you have teaching experience, this reference must be completed by your current principal OR
  • If you are a student teacher, this reference must be completed by your supervising teacher OR
  • If you have not taught or done student teaching, this reference must be from your most recent supervisor(s) according to your Work Experience on the application.

REFERENCES CAN BE SUBMITTED 2 WAYS:

  1. Electronic Form (Enter Email Address on Online Application):
    • Reference Forms will be sent out by the HR system automatically via email only if you enter the reference's email address of your two most current or recent supervisors/principals in the Reference section of the online application.
    • If you do not have the reference's email address, please follow the instructions below in #2 and enter 'N/A' for the email address in the Reference section of the online application.

  2. Download Form: Click here to download and print two Reference Forms and send forms to your current or most recent supervisor/principal.

Submit Supporting Documents

You will be able to electronically attach the following document files (rιsume, scanned transcripts, copies of credentials, letter of interest) to your application/profile. Follow instructions in the online application to attach documents to your file.

If you are unable to electronically attach documents to the online application, please submit via mail, fax or drop off at Human Resources.

In-District Applicants Application Procedure

Please submit a letter of interest, resume and completed transfer request form to the Human Resources Department. If applying for a specialized position, please submit a letter of interest and resume to the department.

Check Application Status

  • Once you have met the position qualifications, your background check will be processed. When your background check is clear, your application will be activated in the system.

  • All principals/department head will have access to view your application. For each position, applications will be screened and the most qualified applicants will be called for interviews. Education, experience, position qualifications and personal references are among the criteria that will be considered.

  • If you are not selected for the position in which you applied for, you may apply for other job vacancies by updating your online application.
