Transportation:
Students
can be brought and picked up from school by their parents (or designated
adult) using Parent Drive on the East side of the school. Our staff
are on duty in the morning to receive students from 8:15 am - 8:30 am.
After the students are unloaded from their parents' cars they are taken
to their classroom by the staff.
In
the afternoon at 2:15 pm, students are walked to the parent drive area
by their teachers and loaded into their parents cars by the teachers
on duty. You will be given a yellow card to place in the window with
the students' name and room number on the card. We cannot release the
child to you without that card.
If
students are riding the school buses to school they are picked up between
7:50 - 8:20 am and are delivered to school between 8:15 - 8:30 am. They
are accompanied by teaching assistants who are assigned to each bus.
The
teaching assistants walk the students to their classroom door once they
arrive at school. In the afternoon the teaching assistants pick up their
bus riding students at the door of the classroom and walk them to the
bus for departure.
The
parents MUST meet the students at the bus in the afternoon. Students
are not left alone and will not be released to a child. If a parent
or a designated adult (16 or over) does not meet the bus, the child
is brought back to the school and parents will be called to come pick
the student up in the office. The person picking the child up from the
bus, designated by the legal guardian, must be written on the yellow
enrollment card.
