The department of Assessment & Compliance provides leadership for the district's accountability system through its assessment and research functions. It does this by ensuring compliance with the state and federal laws pertaining to assessment and research; providing training to staff; and developing, distributing, and reporting student assessment and research data.

Jennifer "Nikki" Jansky, M. Ed.
Director of Student Evaluation and Assessment
Spring Branch ISD

Nikki Jansky is the Director of Student Evaluation and Assessment for Spring Branch ISD.  She guides district personnel in the preparation and administration activities of all state level assessments (e.g., STAAR, End of Course, and TELPAS).  Prior to this role, Nikki taught 8th graders how to appreciate all things related to English Language Arts and the Texas Aggies (Whoop!).  When she discovered that she loved planning and organization almost as much as her students, she followed her final group to high school and served as Campus Test Coordinator.  Once that group graduated, Nikki took on the position of District Coordinator of Testing and Textbooks.  This position provided her with the opportunity to utilize assessment data as a tool to enhance and modify curriculum for the benefit of students.  A self-proclaimed dork, Nikki loves the structure and order of testing, serving others, and doing what is best for students.
