SBISD Visual Arts Art and Literacy Trail is a project to promote literacy and collaboration in which students create a work of art to pay homage to a Children's Book they study. 

During SBISD Spring Break and connection to Youth Art Month's Big Art Day Event the final work of art is hung in and around the campus for the public to view.  An on-line map is provided so the public navigate visiting all the locations around the district and learn about the student's process in creating the artwork.
