Literacy and Art Trail
About
SBISD Visual Arts Literacy Art Walk is a project to promote literacy and collaboration in which students create a work of art to pay homage to a Children's Book they study.
During SBISD Spring Break and connection to Youth Art Month's Big Art Day Event the final work of art is hung in and around the campus for the public to view. An on-line map is provided so the public navigate visiting all the locations around the district and learn about the student's process in creating the artwork.

"I decided to add flowers and paint splats to the design because it adds color and makes it look more artistic. Also, since people are going to be traveling to see the different artworks, the flowers and clouds are to represent being outside. I chose to use the colors red, blue and green because I think those are some of the most popular colors and they look good together."
