LOST OR STOLEN REPORTING
Welcome to the Spring Branch ISD Police Department's Online Reporting System. This system allows community members of Spring Branch ISD to submit lost or stolen property reports for district property. Once the report is submitted, an SBISD Police Investigator will review the information and provide a case number for reference. This case number is required to submit a KACE ticket for Technology Services.
Please note: This system does not generate an official police report. It is intended for documentation purposes only and to assist in tracking lost or stolen district property.
This site should NOT be used for emergencies, crimes in progress, or any incident involving injury.
- For emergencies, call 911.
- For non-emergency incidents requiring an SBISD Police Officer response, call 713-984-9805.
Step 1: Determine the Appropriate Reporting Process
Please review the following to determine whether your situation qualifies for an online report:
✅ This is not an emergency.
✅ The incident occurred on an SBISD facility.
✅ District property has been lost or stolen.
If all of the above apply, you are ready to file your report online.
Section 1: Reporting Lost or Stolen District Property
If district-owned property is lost or stolen, the following steps must be completed:
-
File a Police Report
- File a police report with the Spring Branch ISD Police Department.
- If the incident occurred outside of SBISD jurisdiction, call our Dispatch center at 713-984-9805 to assist in directing you to the appropriate law enforcement agency.
-
Submit a Technology Services Request
- After receiving your police report case number, complete the Technology Services Lost/Stolen Property Form.
- This form is required to generate a KACE Ticket for tracking and potential replacement of district-issued technology.
📌 Important: A police report must be filed before submitting the Technology Services form.
Section 2: Lost and Found – Reporting & Retrieval
For personal lost items or non-technology district items, follow these steps:
-
Lost an Item?
- Chech our Found Property list to see if we already have your item in our inventory. If it is, then submit a Reclaim Form and you will be contacted to schedule picking up your lost item. If your item is not listed, then continue to next bullet.
- Submit a report on the SBISD Lost and Found Website.
- Lost items will be recorded in our system to help reunite them with their owners.
- If found, you will be contacted using the information provided in your report.
-
Found an Item?
- If you have found an item and would like to turn it into our Lost and Found, please call our Dispatch center to meet with an officer who can collect the property from you and hopefully return it to its owner.
- Found property should be turned in at the Spring Shadows Substation Lost and Found Room.
- Items will be stored and held for a designated period before being donated.
- Direct individuals looking for lost items to the Lost and Found website to submit a report.
📌 Note: Found items will no longer be taken into the Evidence Room. The new Lost and Found process streamlines the return of lost property to owners and ensures timely donation of unclaimed items.
