Guthrie Center students spark dialogue with peers as part of No Place for Hate campaign

Each year the Guthrie Center campus participates in the Anti-Defamation League’s NO PLACE FOR HATE campaign to boost awareness of diversity and recognize bias on school campuses.

This year NPFH organizer Tina Miller worked with film practicum instructor Patty Nilsson and student Grayson Blackburn to produce videos around the concept that can be used in classroom discussions.


The Guthrie Center offers students real-world learning opportunities as part of Career and Technology course work.


SBISD Partners' Breakfast

About 400 volunteers, partners and donors attended Spring Branch ISD’s 10th annual Celebration of Sharing Appreciation Breakfast held Thursday in the public meeting area near the ice skating rink at Memorial City Mall.

The breakfast networking and public program is held each year to honor and acknowledge adults who make a difference in the lives of SBISD students every school day.



I am Spring Branch

Allyn Dukes, the SpringBoard partner mentor coordinator at Meadow Wood Elementary, is enjoying her second year of mentoring Emma, now a fourth grader at the school. When she first met Mrs. Dukes, Emma wondered, “ What is she going to be like?” But it only took “about one day” to figure out that they were going to be a good match!

This dedicated mentor will be there to help her mentee with the skills of time management, goal setting, and interpersonal communication.

On March 5, Texas Digital Citizenship Day provides educators and parents with the opportunity to help every child in Texas become a great digital citizen!


A Night of Learning

Spring Branch ISD invites parents, students and community members to An Evening with Alan November Thursday, March 7 @ 7p.m. on the WESTCHESTER ACADEMY (WAIS) campus.

Alan partnered with SBISD to develop our Spring Branch Plan 2012-2017.
