Student and Staff 'Go TEXAN' to Kick Off Rodeo Season

On Friday, Feb. 28, students and staff around the district celebrated the 2014 GO TEXAN Day in style complete with cowboy hats, boots and Texas-styled attire. REEP Business Fellowship for School Leaders

Four principals, three assistant principals and a teacher recuiter from Spring Branch ISD have joined the yearlong Rice University Education Entrepreneurship Program (REEP) Business Fellowship for School Leaders. Read more >>

National Science Teachers Association Awards

Three secondary science teachers in Spring Branch ISD have been named as fellows in the 2013-14 National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) New Science Teacher Academy. Forty-nine of the 200 science teachers chosen this year are Texas educators. Read more >>

Founders Day Celebration

A Memorial High School engineering teacher and three longtime volunteers in Spring Branch ISD earned special recognitions during the annual Founders Day Dinner and Celebration held Feb. 6 at Meadow Wood Elementary School.


TSPRA Awards

Each year, the Texas School Public Relations Association (TSPRA) honors and recognizes exceptional work and superior effort by school public relations professionals at its annual conference. This year, SBISD earned state-level honors for nine separate submitted works.


Foundation Honors Community Leaders

At it's recent Legacies of Spring Branch Gala, the Spring Branch Education Foundation honored three community leaders who have championed education and are legacies of Spring Branch Independent School District. 


Spelling Bee W-I-N-N-E-R

For the second year in a row, 9-year-old Emily Madaras of Wilchester Elementary School, a fifth-grader, was the last student standing in the SBISD Annual Spelling Bee. She’s now won the crown for spelling twice. Read more >>

Open for Class: Another 2007 Bond Program Project
Frostwood Grand Opening Celebration

Hundreds of campus supporters filled the modern cafeteria at the new Frostwood Elementary School for a Feb. 13 Grand Opening Celebration that was highly anticipated and warmly embraced by the entire school community. The newly built Frostwood Elementary is the latest in almost a dozen Spring Branch ISD campuses that have been rebuilt under the district’s $597 million Bond Plan. Read more >>
