On Monday, August 24, Spring Branch ISD welcomed back more than 33,400 students for the 2015-2016 school year. By Thursday, SBISD's enrollment was approaching 35,000 students.

Campuses, students and staff were surprised on the first day by a special visitor, new Superintendent Scott R. Muri. Dr. Muri joined the first day activities by riding a school bus, sharing breakfast with students, meeting parents and community partners, visiting classrooms, tweeting out photos with bright messages and greeting teachers and students as they walked through the doors for the first day.

All of us in SBISD look forward to a year of collaboration, curiosity, growth and success for Every Child, team member and teacher. Welcome back!
