Course Descriptions

Estate Planning

Estate planning isn't just for the super wealthy; it's also for middle and upper-middle class families.  It's the most neglected part of family financial planning but it's critically important.  A well designed estate plan helps keep your assets from passing to unintended beneficiaries, avoids certain taxes and shields certain assets from family member's creditors.  And most significantly, a good estate plan with proper documents helps avoid family fights after your funeral.  This six-hour class will answer questions like: "Can and should probate be avoided? Do DIY computer Wills work? Which is best - a Revocable Living Trust or a Will? What kinds of Powers of Attorney do I need? How to avoid POA abuse?"

Tuition includes one notebook of materials per household.
