The Power of an Hour
SpringBoard mentors in Spring Branch ISD assist students in grades 3 – 12 by offering guidance, encouragement and support.
Mentors provide young people with the skills needed to address personal, school and home issues that may discourage them from reaching their potential.
In just 30-60 minutes weekly, mentors supply the gift of hope to those they touch and give young people a vision of success.
Collegiate Challenge: Changing lives that will change the future
That’s what mentors do through Collegiate Challenge, a program to help high school juniors and seniors prepare for college. Mentors help students with admissions, scholarships and financial aid applications, test preparation and career exploration.
In 90 minutes a week, mentors provide guidance and motivation to students, empowering them to become all that they can be.
Why become a mentor partner?
Mentoring has brought unity of purpose, cause and a sense of community responsibility to our corporate and faith-based community partners enabling them to learn about their future employees/members, customers, and the education system.
Mentoring has fostered relationships across sections of our corporate/community partner organizations. Mentors report their lives were significantly enriched and fulfilled by becoming a mentor.
