Thank you for your interest in Spring Branch ISD. Our aim is for every SBISD graduate to successfully complete a technical certification or military training, a 2-year degree, or 4-year degree (T-2-4). By applying, you are committing to our goal of T-2-4.
Administrator
Principal, assistant principal, coordinator, executive director, etc.

Principal

After 90 days your application will be marked inactive. This is a normal process that occurs to ensure that our application files contain only active candidates. Watch your email for updates on how to activate your application.
Assistant Principal
Applicants
- Complete online application: The Online application and skill survey will take approximately 60 minutes. Please have your certifications, work experience and reference information available.
- ILD, ILT or AEL Certifications: It is the applicant's responsibility to furnish the Human Resources Department with copies of certificates. This also applies to applicants currently employed with Spring Branch ISD. An applicant must show proof of the certificate as issued by their Education Service Center.
- Reference forms: The online application will ask you to supply information for two (2) professional references from individuals who have supervised your work.
- Transcripts/Certificates: The application will ask you to supply up-to-date transcripts and/or certificates. An applicant must show proof of a principal, assistant principal or temporary certificate.
- Letter of Interest
- Resume: A resume will not be accepted in lieu of an application.
Coordinator, Director, etc.
Applicants
- Complete online application: The online application will take approximately 60 minutes. Please have your certifications, work experience and reference information available. Applications are valid for 90 days only.
- Reference forms: The online application will ask you to supply information for two (2) references from current individuals who have supervised your work.
- Transcripts/Certificates: The online application will ask you to supply up-to-date transcripts and/or certificates.
- Teacher Credentials/License: Acceptable forms of credentials include:
- Texas Teaching Certificate and/or Educational Certificates required from job posting
- Letter of Recommendation for a teaching certificate from your university as required on job posting
- Out-Of-State Certificate as required on job posting
- Confirmation Letter from an approved alternative certification program
- License (Nurse, Licensed Specialist in School Psychology, etc) as required on job posting
- Resume: A resume will not be accepted in lieu of an application.
Professional
Teacher, nurse, social worker, librarian, counselor, diagnostician or non-certified positions (e.g., accountant)
Applicants
- Review SBISD website for open positions
- Complete an online application (every 3 months)
- Submit and upload to the application:
- Resume, letter of interest, copies of transcripts
- Certification Credentials/License (if applicable): Acceptable forms of credentials include:
- If Certified: Texas Teaching Certificate and/or Educational Certificates required from job posting
- If Non-Certified: submit acceptance letter from Alternative Certification Program or letter of recommendation for a teaching certificate from your university as required on job posting
- Out-Of-State Certificate as required on job posting
- License (Nurse, Licensed Specialist in School Psychology, etc) as required on job posting
- Before starting the online application, gather the following information:
- Employment history
- Reference information (2 references from current supervisors)
- Make sure to complete all required information in each section of the application.
Basic Requirements for Teaching in Texas
- You must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Every teacher must have an academic major, as well as teacher training courses. The only exemption from the degree requirement is for individuals seeking Career and Technology certification to teach certain courses, such as welding or computer-aided drafting.
- You must complete teacher training through an approved program. These programs are offered through colleges and universities, school districts, regional service centers, community colleges, and other entities.
- You must successfully complete the appropriate teacher certification tests for the subject and grade level you wish to teach.

Paraprofessional/Auxiliary
Paraprofessional (e.g., clerical, administrative assistant, teacher assistant, technology, engineer, customer service engineer) and Auxiliary (e.g., custodial, maintenance, food services, transportation, bus drivers, police officers, warehouse)
Applicants

- Complete an online application (every 3 months)
- Submit and upload to the application:
- Paraprofessional/Technology: Transcripts (copies), resume and letter of interest (if applicable)
- Auxiliary (Skilled Labor): Transcripts (copies) (if applicable)
- Before starting the online application, gather the following information:
- Employment history
- Reference information (2 references from current supervisors)
- Make sure to complete all required information in each section of the application.
Substitute
Please read the information below and follow the steps to apply. Only completed applications will be considered.
Substitute Teacher
Requirements:

Certified Teacher or Minimum of 60 College Semester Hours
Application Process:
- Complete online application (every 3 months)
- Apply for Substitute Classroom Teacher
- Submit and upload to the application: resume, transcripts and certification (if applicable)
- Before starting the online application, gather the following information:
- Employment history
- Reference information (2 references from current Superintendents, Principals, Assistant Principals and/or others who have supervised your work)
- Complete all required information in each section of the application.
Substitute Online Training (Substitute Teachers Only):
- Current Student Teachers and Experienced certified teachers who have been in the classroom within the last 5 years do not need to take the Region 4 online substitute training.
- If you do not meet the above criteria, you must complete the Substitute Online Training provided by Region 4 prior to receiving an invitation to the Orientation.
- Substitute Online Training (Region 4): http://www.esc4.net/ and enter "Substitute Training" in the search field and click the link to register.
- Once completed, print the Certificate of Completion page (not the score sheet) at the end of the training and upload the page to your application.
Substitute Orientation Process:
- Attend Substitute Orientation. Human Resources will contact you via email as soon as the substitute orientation dates become available.
- Complete Substitute Teacher Employment Packet. You will receive an email to complete the forms online. The forms MUST be completed prior to receiving an invitation to the orientation.
- Complete Criminal History Check. Fingerprints are required. Information will be provided at the Substitute Orientation.
Substitute Nurse
Requirements:
- Must be a registered nurse
Application Process:
- Complete Online Application (every 3 months)
- Apply for Substitute Nurse
- Submit and upload to the application: transcripts and nurse license (Texas State Board of Nursing)
- Before starting the online application, gather the following information:
- Employment History
- Reference Information (2 references from current principal or supervisor)
- Complete all required information in each section of the application.
Substitute Orientation Process:
- Attend Substitute Orientation. The District Nurse Coordinator will contact you to schedule the orientation.
- Complete Substitute Employment Packet. After completing the orientation, the Human Resources Department will contact you regarding completing your employment paperwork online.
- Complete Criminal History Check. Fingerprints are required. Information will be provided by the Substitute Office.
Substitute Aide
Requirements:
- Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent
Application Process:
- Complete Online Application (every 3 months)
- Apply for Substitute Clerk/Teacher Assistant
- Submit and upload to the application: high school diploma/equivalent or transcripts
- Before starting the online application, gather the following information:
- Employment History
- Reference Information (2 references from current principal or supervisor)
- Complete all required information in each section of the application.
Substitute Orientation Process:
- Attend Substitute Orientation. Human Resources will contact you via email as soon as the substitute orientation dates become available.
- Complete Substitute Employment Packet. You will receive an email to complete the forms online. The forms MUST be completed prior to receiving an invitation to the orientation.
