2017 Bond continues to transform SBISD high schools

In November 2017, voters in Spring Branch ISD approved an $898.4 million bond referendum by 80 percent of the vote. As part of the 2017 Bond program, SBISD high schools are seeing some great work happening on their campuses.

A few highlights from the high schools include:

Stratford High School
•    Steel has gone up for the replacement auditorium
•    Renovated cafeteria area
•    New collaboration areas
•    Turf field being installed this summer

Memorial High School
•    Exterior panels are now going up on the new 4-story classroom building, including science labs and a new cafeteria
•    New tennis courts and turf field already being utilized 

Northbrook High School
•    Steel in place for a new front entry
•    An additional classroom wing is currently in progress 
•    Turf field being installed this summer

Spring Woods High School 
•    Impressive library and cafeteria renovations
•    Major mechanical and HVAC upgrades
•    New turf field already being utilized 

"I am so very pleased to see the incredible progress being made at four of our high schools," said Travis Stanford, Associate Superintendent for SBISD Operations.  

"When I walk around these projects, I am like an excited kid with a large smile on my face under my mask. The renovation and new construction scope of work underway is truly transformational for these campuses. The positive effects that these bond dollars will have on our students, staff and communities will be long lasting.
