Spring Branch Independent School District (SBISD) is proud to announce the upcoming 2025 FFA Show and Sale, an event that truly showcases the dedication, hard work, and passion of our students.

This annual tradition is more than just a competition—it’s the culmination of months of commitment and perseverance from our Future Farmers of America (FFA) members, and provides our community with a meaningful opportunity to show its support for their growth and success.

Through this event, students showcase the skills they’ve cultivated over the year as they raise and care for their livestock. FFA plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of these young leaders by nurturing essential qualities such as leadership, personal growth, and career readiness—all through the hands-on experience of agricultural education. These traits align with SBISD’s commitment to fostering the Core Characteristics of a T-2-4 Ready Graduate, ensuring that all students are prepared for success in college, careers, and beyond.

The FFA experience gives students the tools to not only thrive in agriculture but in all areas of life.The program, founded in 1928, was established by a group of young farmers who understood the importance of preparing future generations to meet the challenges of feeding a growing world. They taught us that agriculture is more than planting and harvesting—it's science, business, and art. 

This year’s Show and Sale will feature an exciting range of events, including non-livestock projects and livestock competitions.

Saturday, January 25: Non-Livestock Show

Thursday, February 7: Livestock Show Day 1

• 3:30 PM: Poultry Check-in
• 5:30 PM: Poultry Show (Broilers and Turkeys)
• 6:30 PM: Goat Show
• Lamb Show

Friday, February 8: Livestock Show Day 2

• 4:00 PM: Cattle Show
• 5:30 PM: Swine Show

Saturday, February 9: Sale Day

The FFA Show and Sale is not only a celebration of the students’ achievements but also an opportunity for our community to come together and invest in their futures. The funds raised from the sale help students further their education and reach their dreams. We are incredibly proud of our community’s support for these students, and this event is a reflection of that pride.

In addition to this year’s event, we are also excited to give the community a sneak peek into the ongoing work at the SBISD Agricultural Science Center.

Thanks to the 2022 Bond Program, critical upgrades are underway to enhance the Ag Science Center. From renovations and construction of new buildings to site improvements, these upgrades will provide our students with state-of-the-art facilities that support hands-on learning and future success in agriculture. Construction began with a groundbreaking in May 2024, and we look forward to unveiling the completed facility.
