A week of fun and inspiration: SBISD's Red Ribbon Week

Spring Branch ISD schools recently held their annual Red Ribbon Week celebrations, sending a powerful message that drug and alcohol abuse have no place in schools.

This weeklong event featured fun-filled activities, dress-up days and more all aimed at encouraging healthy living habits, creating a drug-free environment, and promoting the traits of a T-2-4 Ready Graduate.

The success of Red Ribbon Week reflects SBISD's ongoing commitment to ensuring that its students become individuals with a sense of responsibility for their well-being. At the heart of this effort is the district's Core Characteristic of Empathetic and Self-Aware, which seeks to instill empathy and self-awareness in all its students. By fostering these qualities, the district hopes to create a learning environment that nurtures the growth and development of its students.

But it's not just the students who benefit from the week’s celebration. Red Ribbon Week is an excellent opportunity for teachers, parents, and staff members to come together and promote a culture of healthy living. Through their collaborative efforts, they ensure that students stay away from harmful substances, develop a positive attitude towards their own well-being, and build resilience and grit in the face of adversity.

By fostering empathy, self-awareness, and resilience, SBISD schools sets a standard of excellence that others can aspire to.
