Good Afternoon, SBISD Families,

We hope this message finds you all safe and with no damage to home or property as a result of the significant rainfall we experienced in our area. 

Here are important updates for your information:

• STUDENT MAKE UP DAY NOT REQUIRED
  • Due to sufficient minutes built into our master schedules in consideration of bad weather days, your children will NOT be required to make up today’s lost school day. 
• STATE TESTING (STAAR AND EOCs)
  • SBISD will postpone STAAR testing originally scheduled for Monday, May 13. We will administer STAAR and End of Course (EOC) make up tests using the following adjusted schedule:
    
    Adjusted Test Schedule for STAAR 3 - 8:
    • Tuesday – Grades 3, 4, 6, 7 Math; Grades 5 and 8 Math retest
    • Wednesday – Grades 3, 4, 6, 7 Reading; Grades 5 and 8 Reading retest
    • Thursday – Grades 5 and 8 Science
    • Friday – Grade 8 Social Studies
    
    High School EOCs
    Today’s make-up tests will be moved to Monday for paper or online.
     
• WEEKEND ACTIVITIES
  At this time, all district-sponsored activities will continue as originally scheduled for this weekend. SBISD reserves the right to change this decision should our weather forecast change.
