The west side of the new auditorium going up at Stratford High School in Spring Branch ISD leaves no doubt there is ‘big’ pride at this school.
With input from a Stratford High School Project Advisory Team, made up of a group of staff, students, parents and community members, PBK Architects designed a brick wall that features four-foot high letters under a 25-foot high Stratford Spartan image that will be a lasting landmark at the school.
Behind the newly built brick wall is a new 35,405-square foot, two-story-high auditorium that will be home to the award-winning Stratford Fine Arts programs.
The Stratford renovations and upgrades are part of a $898.4 million Bond program approved by district voters in 2017 by 80 percent of the vote, and also include:
- Renovated cafeteria
- New collaboration areas
- New classroom furniture
- Musical instruments and uniform replacements
- Athletic turf field
- Building systems and site improvements
- Repaved parking lots
- Technology updates
- Upgrades to security
- Roof replacement
The renovations, upgrades and auditorium addition to the 47-year-old campus are scheduled to be completed by December 2021.
