Spring Branch ISD (SBISD) is gearing up for an exciting start to the 2024-2025 school year, set to begin on Thursday, August 15. We are thrilled to welcome back our students and families after a busy summer of preparation by our dedicated teachers and staff.

Leadership announcements

- Annie Wolfe, Ed.D. named Associate Superintendent of Academics
- Claudia Salcedo named Director at Bear Blvd. School
- Hayley Davis named principal at Terrace Elementary School
- Aylin Martinez named principal at Pine Shadows Elementary School
- Brooke Monteith named principal at Valley Oaks Elementary School
- Coach Andrew Rohrs joins Spring Woods High School
- Coach Demond Stafford joins Northbrook High School
Updated meal prices
Spring Branch ISD School Nutrition Services (SNS) has announced revised meal prices for the upcoming academic year. Starting this fall, breakfast will cost $1.25, elementary school lunches will be $2.50, and secondary school lunches will be $2.75. These prices reflect a 50-cent increase for both breakfast and lunch, the first adjustment since 2016. Families can find more information on accessing meals and other related details online. New CANVAS resources for families
Exciting news! SBISD introduces new educational resources in CANVAS to support student success and T-2-4 goals. Explore literacy progress tracking for Grades K-8 and college/career planning tools for Grades 9-12.
Middle school Spirit Squads: Grades 7 and 8
Exciting news for our 7th and 8th graders! Starting this school year, every middle school campus in SBISD will feature Middle School Spirit Squads. This initiative aims to boost school spirit and engagement among middle school students. For more information, contact Houston Hayes, Director of Fine Arts & Health Fitness, or Pamela Thompson, Assistant Director of Health Fitness.
Low-cost sports physicals
In collaboration with SBISD Athletics, Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center is offering comprehensive, low-cost physicals to all SBISD athletes.

Volunteer application
Volunteer supports make great things happen in SBISD!
The 2024-2025 volunteer application is officially open. Please apply now to volunteer this school year. All 2023-2024 volunteer applications expired on June 30, 2024. All volunteers, new and returning, must be registered and approved for the 2024-2025 school before beginning any volunteer activity. It may take up to 10-business days for your application to be processed.
20 years of Good Neighbors
Celebrate 20 years of Good Neighbors with SBISD! As we approach the 20th anniversary of our Good Neighbor partnership recognition program, we invite you to join the 20th Class of SBISD Good Neighbors. To be recognized, simply participate in and log three strategic activities that support our schools, district and the Spring Branch Education Foundation throughout the year. Don’t miss this chance to make a difference for our children and schools while becoming a part of a special milestone in our community and district.
