"The welcoming atmosphere and the dedicated teachers have left an indelible mark on me, making it a place I will always hold dear."
What did you enjoy most about going to school in Spring Branch ISD (SBISD)?
I was fond of my teachers. They were all supportive and helped me whenever I struggled with assignments or any aspect of the class curriculum. I have also enjoyed all the classes I've taken, and the wide range of extracurricular activities and opportunities offered was terrific.
During your high school years, in which activities did you participate?
My involvement in speech and debate has been a transformative experience. This decision has honed my critical thinking, public speaking, and communication skills and boosted my confidence. I look forward to continuing this journey in college.
What advice would you give to incoming freshmen about to start high school?
While it's essential to work hard and dedicate much of your time to succeeding as a student, remember to rest and not overwork yourself. If you fixate on every bad grade you get as a freshman and work constantly without giving yourself time to recharge, the next three years will be even harder to get through. Just do your best and try to find a balance between work and rest.
What will you miss most about SBISD?
As I prepare to embark on a new chapter in college, I can't help but reflect on what I will miss the most. The welcoming atmosphere and dedicated teachers at school have left an indelible mark on me, making it a place I will always hold dear.
What is one fun or surprising fact about you?
One surprising fact about me is that I haven't lived in the United States for that long. I moved here not even two years ago, but it has already become my second home. I am also fluent in three languages.
Where are you headed next?
My goal is to study hard in college to become a lawyer eventually. I've always felt obligated to help others, and I could fulfill it by going into law. I've also always been interested in social studies, government, and English, and law incorporates all three topics, which appeals to me. I plan to attend either the University of Texas at Dallas or Stony Brook University.
