Destination Success: Showcasing the power of CTE Programs in SBISD

Spring Branch Independent School District (SBISD) recently hosted the much-anticipated event, Destination Success, at Northbrook High School for the second consecutive year.

The Career and Technical Education (CTE) event focused on igniting a passion in students to explore diverse career paths and showcased the various programs of study available to them. Attendees were able to experience the 26 different programs of study offered in SBISD through hands-on activities showcased by talented CTE instructors and current students. SBISD's CTE program provides students with an exceptional platform to acquire skills and practices that are essential in achieving the T-2-4 vision, where every graduate is equipped with a technical certificate, military training, or a two-year or four-year degree.

"We aim to help students and their families discover various career paths and show them the different career options that are available," said CTE Director Christina Rice-Imumwen. "We wanted the event to be an engaging and fun learning experience while also providing them with essential knowledge about potential careers."

The Destination Success Career Exploration event also provides an excellent opportunity for attendees to interact with industry professionals and educators, learn about the career paths, training and education requirements, growth opportunities, salary potentials, and job market possibilities in their preferred field.
