Spring Branch ISD (SBISD) is pleased to announce that Gabriela RodriguezOdon, a K-5 Coach at Shadow Oaks Elementary, is the March 2025 recipient of the Teachers Driving Success Award.
Sponsored by Group 1 Automotive and Genesis of Southwest Houston, the award recognizes educators who go above and beyond to inspire student achievement and create meaningful learning experiences.
RodriguezOdon was presented with a $300 gift card and a gift basket during a special ceremony earlier this week in recognition of her exceptional contributions to Shadow Oaks Elementary. Principal Mandy Antolini praised RodriguezOdon for her dedication to student success and her ability to create engaging, student-centered activities that foster both skill development and a love for learning.
“Our new coach takes the effort and time to get to know all of our almost 500 scholars,” Antolini shared. “She prepares age-appropriate, student-centered activities and ensures a safe environment. Our scholars are receiving amazing instruction and lots of practice to show proficiency in different techniques, forms, and health knowledge. Our coach attended a conference to bring new knowledge and best practices to all of our scholars; she displays what it means to be a life-long learner!”
The Spring Branch ISD Community Engagement team extends its sincere appreciation to Group 1 Automotive and Genesis of Southwest Houston for their continued support of the Teachers Driving Success program.
We are proud to celebrate RodriguezOdon and grateful for the dedication of educators like her who make a lasting impact in our schools.
