Help artist Patrick Renner's create sculpture at AYAM on Oct. 6

As part of the Altharetta Yeargin Art Museum's (AYAM) 1st Saturday Family Art Day, you're invited to join artist Patrick Renner on Oct. 6, to paint the pieces Renner will use to build his upcoming installation at the museum, Rest. Artists of all ages are invited to be part of this exciting opportunity!

Patrick is known in Houston for his Funnel Tower in the Heights and the Trumpet Flower located in downtown Houston. As part of the upcoming H.E.ART auction and exhibit (Oct. 20 - Nov. 3) at AYAM, Renner (pictured above with his work) will create a permanent installation at the entrance of the museum, entitled Rest. AYAM is honored to have Patrick leave his creative mark on the museum and our community.

“We’re inviting the community to be part of Rest’s conception,” Leann Newton, co-curator says. On Saturday, October 6, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., amateur artists of all ages are encouraged to stop by the museum to paint a length of wood that will become part of the sculpture. Rest is sponsored by J. Carter Breed Properties.
