“I matter because…”

Texas PTA Reflections Excellence Award in photography medium by Greer Giles, Memorial High School

 

Twenty Spring Branch ISD students recently earned recognition from the Texas PTA for their creative responses to the Reflections 2021 theme, “I matter because…” 

Since 1969, the National PTA Reflections program has encouraged students of all ages and abilities, in grades pre-Kindergarten through 12, to explore and be involved in the arts by submitting original works of art in the medium of their choice: dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts while reflecting on a specific theme. 

This school year, the Texas PTA received nearly 850 entries. More than 500 awardees will be invited to the statewide awards ceremony to take place later this spring. Visit the 2020-2021 Reflections gallery to see all awarded entries in Texas.
