Short Stories by Kids, for Kids: iWRITE recognizes six student authors
Bunker Hill Elementary celebrates iWRITE winner Mary Margaret with a special broadcast segment as part of the school's morning announcements.
Six students in Spring Branch ISD (SBISD) can now add ‘published author’ to their list of accomplishments. Their work will be featured in the 12th edition of the iWRITE literacy non-profit's annual anthology of short stories, poetry, and artwork titled “I Write Short Stories by Kids, for Kids”.

"It feels good. I'm glad people will get to read my work and other people's work," said student author Vincent McGuire. "It's crazy to see my work in a book. An official book."
iWRITE's mission is to build student confidence through writing. Since 2009, the organization has published more than 650 student authors and illustrators from 11 countries. iWrite's annual publication competition is open to grades 3 through 12.
