January Teachers Driving Success: Shadow Oaks Elementary’s Melissa Paul
Teachers Driving Success - January 2024

The Spring Branch ISD Community Engagement team has announced Melissa Paul, a kindergarten teacher from Shadow Oaks Elementary School (SOE), as the January Teachers Driving Success winner.

“Ms. Paul has such grace and poise when working with our scholars and leading her team,” said Shadow Oaks Elementary Principal Mandy Antolini. “She has so much patience and displays our district's Core Values of Collective Greatness and Collaborative Spirit on a daily basis. She truly comes to work each day and meets our scholars where they are and will collaborate with any stakeholder needed to professionally grow and meet students where they are. Even when the work is challenging, she still has a smile. She has an amazing, kind heart and truly wants what is best for every scholar!”

In recognition of her dedication and drive for success, Paul received a gas gift card and gift basket from Group 1 Automotive, Advantage BMW

Teachers Driving Success is a monthly teacher appreciation program sponsored by SBISD Good Neighbor and partner Sterling McCall Group, which recognizes classroom teachers and their efforts to help students prosper.

Each month, principals are invited to nominate one classroom teacher from their campus for the way in which they are driving success. The Community Engagement team conducts a monthly lottery drawing from nominations received to choose the Teachers Driving Success award winner.

We thank Sterling McCall Group for their sustained support of our educators! Learn more about the Teachers Driving Success program.
